๐Ÿ’ฒ$50 per person

Have you ever noticed the tall, fuzzy stalks of mullein growing along trails, roadsides, and open fields and wondered about their story?

Join us for an afternoon of herbal education, hands-on crafting, and community as we explore the fascinating world of mullein (Verbascum thapsus)โ€”a plant that has been used for centuries in traditional herbal practices while also playing a unique role in today's ecosystems.

Together we'll learn how to identify mullein in the landscape, discuss its ecological role and invasive status here in Oregon, explore ethical harvesting practices, and dive into the folklore, history, and traditional preparations that have made this plant.

No previous herbal experience is necessaryโ€”all materials are included.

During this workshop you'll learn:

๐ŸŒฟ How to identify first- and second-year mullein in the wild

๐ŸŒฟ Common lookalikes and how to tell them apart

๐ŸŒฟ Oregon ecology, pollinator relationships, and why mullein is considered invasive

๐ŸŒฟ Ethical harvesting, drying, processing, and storage techniques

๐ŸŒฟ Traditional uses, folklore, and modern herbal perspectives

๐ŸŒฟ How to safely prepare several herbal creations to take home

You'll create and bring home:

โœจ A custom 4 oz Lung Support Herbal Tea Blend

โœจ A 2 oz Mullein Tincture to finish infusing at home

โœจ Your own handcrafted traditional mullein torch

โœจ A collection of educational handouts, recipes, and preparation instructions

We'll also enjoy herbal tea together as we settle in, creating space for conversation, curiosity, and connecting with both plants and community.

Please note: This workshop is educational in nature and is not intended to diagnose, treat, or replace medical care. We will discuss traditional herbal uses alongside current safety considerations.
